Neutral Abstract Landscape Canvas Art, Unframed, Large

This is a landscape only in the loosest sense: soft bands of neutral color suggesting horizon and ground without naming a place. That ambiguity is useful, because it means the painting never competes with a room. Over a headboard, a sofa or a sideboard it provides weight and warmth, and the textured surface shifts gently as daylight crosses it, so the piece looks different in the morning than it does at dusk.

Each canvas is painted by hand in oil, worked with both brush and palette knife, which is why the ridges and tonal transitions differ from canvas to canvas and from the images shown. Those variations are the point of a hand-painted work rather than a flaw in it. The painting arrives rolled inside a protective tube and unframed, ready for stretching or for the frame of your choosing; a plain profile in oak or black suits it well.

Seven sizes run from 60 x 80 cm (about 24 x 31 in) up to 110 x 150 cm (about 43 x 59 in), all in vertical format. The smaller sizes handle bedrooms, hallways and narrow stretches of wall, while the largest holds its own in an open living space. Check your wall dimensions and the width of any furniture beneath it before deciding.
