Description

Overhead lighting flattens a room. Sconces at eye level do the opposite, and this one adds a little sparkle while it works. Crystal elements sit against a stainless steel body finished in plated gold or black, throwing small points of light across the wall. Mounted either side of a headboard, flanking a mirror or repeated down a hallway, a pair creates the layered glow that makes a space feel designed rather than simply lit.

Light escapes both upward and downward, washing the wall above and below the fixture, which is what gives textured plaster or paint its depth after dark. Two bulbs are included with each sconce, E14 or G9 depending on the style you choose. Pick warm white at 2700โ€“3500K when the room is for winding down, or cool white at 5500โ€“7000K where you want clarity, such as beside a mirror. The fixture runs on AC power and does not dim.

There are five designs, labelled A through E, in 30, 35 and 45 cm sizes, most available in both gold and black; compare them in the photos, as the silhouettes vary. A common mounting height beside a bed is roughly 150โ€“160 cm from the floor, though your headboard may suggest otherwise. It lights about 3โ€“5 square meters. Hardwired installation is work for a licensed electrician.
